Maria Xenia Doria

President of the Jury

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Milan, she is the owner of the Tenuta Visconti-San Teodoro Nuovo company located in Basilicata in Marina di Pisticci,

You have been in charge of the family business for years in which you have implemented the agricultural sector and diversified the business activities, developing in particular the tourism and hospitality sector (hospitality, weddings and events). You have gained various professional experiences, holding the position of Director at Banco di Napoli (Intesa San Paolo Group) for two terms.

From 2010 to 2020 she was regional president of the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) for Basilicata, creating an extensive network of delegations and volunteers in the area.

You were recently appointed Honorary President of FAI Basilicata, continuing to protect the artistic, cultural and environmental heritage of the region.

You were one of the promoters of the Start Up Destinazione Basilicata, an innovative platform in which you hold the position of President of the Honorary Committee.

Franco Campagna

He has been working dynamically in the film industry for about twenty years, gaining experience as assistant, secretary and production inspector, location assistant and manager, up to holding the role of Production Manager.

After a substantial apprenticeship in Rome, which trained him and supported the great professionals of the sector, he decided to invest in his territory and concentrate on his “southern passion”: Basilicata, Puglia and Cilento, regions with unique and often uncontaminated landscapes.

Giovanni Guardi

With a degree in Economics and an EMAM (European Master in Audiovisual and Management) diploma from the MEDIA Programme, he has coordinated and curated the music for Fandango’s films since 1998.

He has also been A & R for many artists including the Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio, Gianmaria Testa, Musica Nuda.

As music supervisor he has worked with some of the most recognized and awarded directors in Italy including Matteo Garrone, Nanni Moretti, Gabriele Muccino, Ferzan Ozpetek and Paolo Sorrentino. He leads courses at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, in Rome, on every aspect of pairing music with visual images.

He collaborates with the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in the highly anticipated seasons of silent classics accompanied by live music.

Hermes Mangialardo

Cartoonist, videomaker, visual performer, 3D mapper, since 2003 he has been dealing with everything that revolves around digital animation.

His short films have been selected in the most important festivals in the world, obtaining nominations and a series of prestigious awards (including the “local” Corti d’Argento and Giffoni Film Festival).

He created the “Urban Jungle” series for MTV, a mix between documentary and irony that investigates all the phenomena of the “urban fauna”. The series becomes a cult on the web with millions of views on YouTube, becoming the subject of university lectures and TV programs.

Alongside the production of animations and video clips, he also works as a visual performer (Best Italian VJ 2009) and 3D mapper, realizing Architectural mapping around Europe, and winning the Berlin festival of Light on the TV tower of the German capital, the Spotlight of Bucharest, the first prize at Pescara Mapping, the audience award at the Zsolnay Videomapping contest in Hungary.

In 2020 he made a short film for the Pope, in support of his words against violence against women.

Marco Regina

Materano doc, he has lived for years in Los Angeles, where he is currently collaborating with names of the caliber of Guillermo Del Toro and Brad Bird and with giants such as Netflix and Skydance, as a Story Artist.

He was Lead Animator and Storyboard Artist for Dreamworks for 13 years, where he worked on films such as “Shrek 4”, “Kung Fu Panda” and “How to Train Your Dragon”. The animated short “The Windshield Wiper”, of which he was Head of Animation, won the Oscar in the 2022 edition.

Giorgio Verdelli

Author, director and producer of documentaries and music programs, he is also one of the leading experts on international music.

His most important works: “Unici” (2013), “Paolo Conte, away with me” (2020), “Ezio Bosso: The things that remain” (2021).
